In January 2025, Vice President Redlich visited Chiang Mai University. CMU is one of Fuji’s many partner institutions, but it is the only one located in Thailand. During the visit Prof. Redlich exchanged views on future program operations and possibilities with various stakeholders at CMU.
Chiang Mai is a city in northern Thailand where traditional culture and modern resort life coexist. Though it is relatively small, Chiang Mai attracts many travelers from around the world. Chiang Mai University has partner institutions across the globe and maintains particularly strong ties with Japan.
Chiang Mai University has an on-campus affiliated language center that offers 英皇娱乐_英皇娱乐平台¥国际官网 classes taught by native speakers, as well as programs that provide opportunities for internships and project-based learning. These programs are particularly attractive to students who want to actively use 英皇娱乐_英皇娱乐平台¥国际官网 in their studies.
Furthermore, CMU’s Faculty of Humanities includes a Japanese language department with many students studying Japanese. Discussions were held regarding the possibility of student exchanges between our universities so that their students can practice Japanese and our students can practice teaching Japanese.
